To this date, 173 species of macroscopic fungi from different taxonomic groups are known for Zavyalov Island. These are mainly basidiomycetes, to a lesser extent – ascomycetes, symbiotrophs of forest and tundra communities and saprotrophs on litter, wood, and humus. The locations of three protected species (Amanita regalis, Clavariadelphus truncatus and Leccinum arctoi) included in the Red Book of the Magadan Region (2019) were discovered. In connection with the development of eco-tourism on the island, organizers should place information about species diversity and rare species of macromycetes on information stands. When laying out ecological routes, it is necessary to take into account the habitats of rare and protected species of plants and fungi.
