A database of nuclear DNA microsatellite loci frequencies was created to answer the questions on the origin of sockeye salmon in mixed catches from coastal waters off the west coast of Kamchatka in order to prepare materials to justify predicted catches and to describe prespawning migration routes. To date, we have studied allelic variability of eight seal microsatellite loci (Ots107, Oki1a, Oki1b, One104, One109, OtsG68, Oki6, Omm1037) in 23 samples
(1052 specimens). The probability of identification of sockeye salmon from the Ozernaya River in mixed aggregations (catches of sea trap nets) according to the results of simulation analysis performed in ONCOR program was found to be 96%.
