The Middle Amur river region (left bank of the Amur river from the Zeya basin to the Ussuri) covers vast territory with boreal, nemoral and steppe landscapes interference but with no significant geographical barriers. Mammal fauna fallows the territory’s sophisticated structure with a great mix of different faunistic elements. The paper shows the change of northern (boreal, tundra-and-boreal, mountain-boreal) groups’ role from their leadership (43% of fauna in the northmost part – Tokinsko-Stanovoy National Park) to small numbers in the south-east (20% in Bolshekhekhtsirsky Reserve).
