Since 2012, the diversity of aquatic vascular plants in North-East Russsia (East Siberia and the Far East) has been revised and our data on diversity composition have been increased by ca. 10%, as well as the taxonomic composition have been significantly refined. Special attention was paid to poorly studied parts of this area, both by direct study of aquatic flora of the key territories (e.g., eastern Chukotka, northern Okhotsk area, northern Kamchatka, etc.), and by revision of complex taxonomic groups of aquatic plants (e.g., Utricularia, Callitriche, Sparganium). North-East Asia, a vast territory with a highly mosaic relief, a variety of natural and climatic conditions, represents a contact zone of the Siberian, Beringian and East Asian aquatic floras, and has high and unique diversity of aquatic vascular plants, providing a significant contribution to the aquatic flora of Russia.
