The age structure of 5 groves of aspen on rubbly slopes in continental areas of Magadan Region was studied by the method of tree-ring sampling to test the hypothesis that each grove belongs to one young post-fire generation. It was shown that logrowing (2–6 m) and with a predominant diameter of 4–8 cm trees in the grove can be of any age – from 24 to 104 years old and have probably suffered several fires. There are reasons to consider aspen trees in such groves as belonging to a special morphotype, the forming factor of which is not obvious.
